The Majestic Theatre opened on 21st December 1916. The Majestic Theatre closed on 25th July 1938, in anticipation of the opening of Hoyts Fremantle Theatre. In fear that the Majestic Theatre lease would be taken over by another company who might operate in competition with their new theatre, Hoyts employees destroyed the the fixtures and fittings on the day they vacated the premises, and opened the next day in the new theatre.
The facade is still there over what is now Manning Arcade. The two balconies are still there with the letters M and T(Majestic Theatre) logo on the front of them. The cinema offices are now the Five Star Tattoo shop.

The outside and inside of what is left of the Majestic Theatre can seen at the website ( garrygillard.net/photos/majestic.html ). there is information about other Fremantle Cinemas/theatres on the website (garrygillard.net ).
That part of High street in front of the Majestic theatre building became a pedestrian mall in(1970’s or 1980’s, i think?).
I think the High Street Mall end of Manning Arcade might be where the entrance, and foyer, and ticket office(and candy bar?) for the Majestic Theatre might have been located?
