Located at the corner of Boas Avenue and McLarty Avenue. Lakeside Cinemas was opened by Greater Union in 1995. Name Changed to Grand Cinemas(2010?). The cinema was still operating until its sudden closure on 21st November 2022 when the Grand Cinemas (Australia) chain announced it was ceasing trading. It was taken over by Hoyts.

Lakeside Cinemas(also called Greater Union Joondalup i think?) was operated by Greater Union(now Event Cinemas).
Name changed <2006. Grand cinemas subleased Joondalup and Whitfords from Greater Union as a means of monopolising the cinema industry in the outer northern suburbs, an agreement that meant Grand didn’t open any new locations near other existing Greater Union (and Event) properties.
Closed on 21st November 2022.
Reopened in(2023?). Now called Hoyts Cinema Joondalup.
