Located in the Northbridge section of Perth. The Imax Theatre opened on 7th December 2000. The Imax Theatre closed on 9th June 2002.
Reopened as Regent R Max(later R Max) in 2004. R Max closed after a few years and stayed empty for a few years. It became a convention centre. By 2022 it was operated as a live theatre, and for other live performances and movies.

This building is now called Planet Royale(a bar, a video arcade, a pizza restaurant and a theatre(known as Royale Theatre)), it has music, live performances, cabaret, dances, stand up comedy and movies. The address is 11 Lake Street, Northbridge, Western Australia, 6003.
