North Salem Drive-In

The Salem Drive-In was opened June 28, 1948 to a capacity crowd with “Give My Regards to Broadway”. It was operated by William R. Forman and Ted Gamble. When the South Salem Drive-In opened on July 15, 1954, the Salem Drive-In was renamed North Salem Drive-In. The North Salem Drive-In was still open in 1957 when they had been joined by United Theatres as co-operators. It closed on October 24, 1982.

Highway Fuel is currently located at this address.

The drive-in has been completely demolished. The only traces are the general outline, the entrance/exit road, and the base of the marquee which now supports the sign for the Highway Fuel Co.
