The Rialto Theatre’s wide entrance was sheltered by a large and very ornately decorated overhang extending out from the front of the building. Above it was a large arch in between four decorative windows, two on each side. The Rialto Theatre was opened on December 11, 1921 with Rudolph Valentino in “Camille” & Buster Keaton in “The Play House”. It is documented to have been screening the movie “Smilin' Through” most likely in 1922 the year of the movie’s release. It was still open in 1929, but had closed by 1931.
