Built in the early-1970’s and located in the Sunrise Shopping Center. The UA Blossom Hill 4 Cinemas opened on March 22, 1972. The theatre was a fourplex which was first-run for the first half of its life, until a number of other chains built complexes nearby. The theatre became a dollar house in the early-1980’s, which it remained until its closure in 1990. It was demolished the following year.

I remember going to this place to see “Doctor Zhivago” back in the early 80’s and only having to pay just one buck to enjoy a real epic in a real theater (okay, it was a small one, with a scratchy print and tinny sound, but it was still a theater.) What a deal!

After the theater was torn down, it was replaced by a TJ Maxx which operated from 1991-1996. Comp USA operated in it after TJ Maxx left, from 1996 to the closure of Comp USA in 2007. Pacific Sales is now operating in the space.
