Located in Puerto Padre, in the Oriente province, on what was originally named Calle Lugones (today re-named Victimas del Fuerte). The first movie theatre in Puerto Padre was on this site, opening in 1910 as the Cine Halley. In 1919 it was purchased by Eleucipo Vazquez Aldana who demolished it to built the Cine-Teatro Aldana, which opened later in 1919. Popular films were shown and plays were presented on the stage.
In the early-1930’s it was re-named Cine Hatuey. In March 1934 it was re-named Cine-Teatro Rivoli. It was the most beautiful building in the town.
After the nationalisation of theatres, only the Cine-Teatro Rivoli was left operating in the town, and was the one which had the longest life. In 1981, the municipal government sadly authorised its demolition.

The first movie shown in this theater in 1910 was the North American silent “La flor fatal”. Film reels arrived by rail. The manual projector was operated by Miguel Angel Oria. Others shown were “La esclava blanca”, “La posada sangrienta”. The manager of the Cine-Teatro Aldana was Mariano Belío. In 1928 it showed “La hija del Capitán Mambí”. Partners Fernández and Montaña sold it to Enrique Farah Awed. Renown business show figures performed, musician Dámaso Pérez Prado, singers Benny Moré, Pedrito Rico, Bobby Capó, Daniel Santos and the Matamoros Trio.
