Midway Drive-In

The Midway Drive-In was constructed and opened by 1950 with Jeff York in “Lil Abner” & Irene Dare in “Frolics on Ice”(aka Everything’s on Ice). It was owned and operated by Henry Garneau of the Penny Theatre Co., Windsor. It managed to last into the 1980’s before it closed and was demolished.

Today, a church sits on the property with no trace of the drive-in remaining.

You could see this theater’s screen from a small section of Interstate 91. Sometimes people would park on the side of the road when XXX films were being shown.
