Located at St. Clair Avenue W. and Vaughan Road. The Vaughan Theatre was opened on November 17, 1947 with June Haver in “I Wonder Who’s Kissing Her Now”. I have a movie advertisement that I wish to post for this theatre which is dated December 3, 1971. It was still open in October 1972. It was demolished in the 1980’s.

The Vaughn Theatre was built for B&F Theatres in 1947, and was designed by architects Kaplan & Sprachman, according to This online article by Toronto writer Doug Taylor. The article has several photos, including a couple of shots of the auditorium. It says that the building was demolished in the 1980s.
Opened on November 17th, 1948, and closed in 1973. Grand opening ad posted.
It closed as a cinema and became a Variety Club Telebingo along with he Danforth Palace and the Runnymede. Later it became a TVstudio/theatre for Channel 47 MultiLingual Television. Then it became the Ritz Repertory theatre and later the Fine Arts on St Clair Closed and demolished mid to late 80s
