Located in Rodas in the Las Villas province. The first cinema in Rodas was a wooden structure built on Calle Mariano Pino 67. It was built by Don Pedro Villalonga Pol and named Cine Cartagena.

The Cine Mariana was built in 1919 by Senor Villalonga and was named after his wife. It opened May 20, 1919 with a performance of “La Bella Camelia” theatrical company. The first talkie to be shown here was the 1930 film “El Domador de Mujeres” with Jose Mujuca. In the 1940’s it was closed.

In 1946 it was taken over by Librado Martinez who reopened it as a Cine El Elcanto. It was closed in 1959.

Did this theater have a Kilgen Organ? Do you have any history on the pipe organ after the theater closed?
