The National Hi-Way Drive-In was opened August 15, 1947 with Jeanne Crain in “Margie”. In 1955 it was operated by Hudson Theatres Co. No longer in existence, was replaced by a Big Blue Store (which is no longer open).

This opened on August 15th, 1947. Grand opening ad in the photo section.
Opened with “Margie”.
Kerasotes closed the Hi-Way after the 1984 season. They promised to reopen for the 1985 season but didn’t happen because of vandalism in theater property.
There are some remnants of the drive-in remaining, mostly on the southern side of the property.
The main entrance road remains and has been resurfaced. Much of the exit road remains, although it is not in use. You can also see parch marks of the outline and some of the ramps.
