Opened 1969. The opening picture was “Finian’s Rainbow” starring Fred Astaire. Operator who opened the booth was E.L. “Kit” Kitfield, senior operator. Run by United Artist from 1969-1979 and then was taken over by David Myers who ran it from 1979-1989. Closed in 1989 with the last booth operator being John Templeton. Seating reduced to 400 sometime before 1973. Projectors were Norelco FP20s, Lamphouses were Christie Xenolite, Altec 1568 tube amps (40 watt), single Altec A4 speaker. Theatre equipment was pulled out and put in storage as the owner hoped to build a twin out north of town but this never materialized.
As of 2015, a bar called Absinthe House occupied the entire theatre space. By 2021 it was in use as a food hall.
