Northend Community Cinema

In 2003, George Brightey, former manager of the Palace Cinema, transformed the former Northend Working Mens Club into a 200-seat cinema with the help of regeneration funding. It closed in May 2005 when patrons arrived at the cinema they found it stripped; the seats, screen and projection equipment removed and taken into storage. By 2012 it was in use as a Kidz Club children’s play centre.
