Ace Cinema

Located in Royston, South Yorkshire, 4 miles north east of Barnsley. Little is known about the Ace Ballroom/Ace Cinema; it is not mentioned in any edition of the Kinematograph Year Book. It is a substantial brick-built structure and became a dance hall after its cinema days. It was then converted into the Bethel Community Church.

Very comfortable recent cinema we went to occasionally in the 1940s. In the 1980s attended a wedding there and still comfortable.
