Further research reveals that the Empire cabaret soon became known as The cabaret Club Rosegrove and was very popular,still operating in the early 1970s.A short lived experiment was tried showing films in the club with drinks and snacks served at your table during the film,but did not work and reverted back to cabaret after a few weeks.Then ln the mid 70s was converted to a 3 screen cinema under the company name of Unit 4 Cinemas.The name Aaben was only used at 1 cinema in Hulme Manchester.
