Previous Names: Atlantic Garden
The Atlantic Garden was opened by 1870. Alterations were made to the plans of architect Julius Kastner in 1883 to convert it into a concert hall. The address was 50-54 Bowery when the Atlantic Garden was listed in the 1914-1915 edition of American Motion Picture Index. It was remodeled in 1916 to the plans of architect Henry Regelmann.
It was still open in 1926 with a seating capacity for 1,100. In 1927 it was listed as the New Atlantic Theatre with 800 seats, located at 52 Bowery, it was operated by the Meyer & Schneider circuit. Still open in 1929 but was closed and demolished in March 1929.
