Located in the city centre in the Grand Boulevards district. Designed in an Art Deco style, the Plaza Theatre opened as a cinema on 9th October 1930. It was soon re-named Pavilion, but perhaps was not a success. The ABC was opened as a variety theatre on 29th April 1934. It hosted many of the famous French singers and performers over the years, including: Charles Trenet, Fernandel, Maurice Chevalier, Edith Piaf, Line Renaud & Juliette Greco. It was closed on 11th October 1964.

It was renovated and modernised to the plans of architect Georges Peynet. On 6th May 1965 it was opened as a cinema with Emmanuele Riva in “Thomas L'Imposteur”. It was equipped with 70mm & 35mm projectors. It was closed on 31st December 1981.
