Located in downtown Lowell, the opening of the Luna Theater on September 20, 2014 brought movies back to the downtown area for the first time in over twenty years. It is located within Mill No. 5, alongside the Pawtucket Canal. It was closed in March 2025.

The Luna Theatre, located in Lowell, MA., is a neat little theatre, with comfortable seats and tables for snacks, etc. It’s a perfect theatre for showing great classic films, too. The place is clean, the staff helpful and courteous. I’ll be paying a second visit to this theatre this coming Sunday, and I’m all excited about it.
