The Star Drive-In was opened October 12, 1952. It parked 300 cars and was owned by Edward Ellis. The drive-in was still open in 1977.

A more accurate address is MO-5 and Lily Rd, Marceline, MO.
The drive-in sat on the SE corner of the intersection. There is no trace of the drive-in remaining.
