The Cozy Theatre opened in 1932. Prior to the Cozy Theatre the Municipal Auditorium was used for movies. The theatre seated 250 and was still operataing in the late-1950’s. The building is now used for retail.

This article says that the Lockwood Opera Hall at 607 Main was used for movies.http://www.dadecountymissouri.20m.com/custom2.html
If the IOOF was used for movies in the 1980’s that had to be after the Cozy Theatre was already closed. The Motion Picture Yearbook says the Municipal Auditorium was used for movies from 1927 thru 1930.
