A more accurate location for this theater is State Hwy M and Hwy 25, Freeborn Township, MO 63837. This is east of Holcomb. The drive in itself was located SW of this intersection. Now an empty field, there is almost no trace BUT in the middle of the field lies the screen foundation and part of the entrance/exit road is at Highway 25.

Please update.

From the Nov. 26, 1955 Motion Picture Herald:

The All-Star drive-in theatre, located about a mile east of Holcomb, Mo., now is equipped for both air conditioning and heating, the installations recently having been completed.

The drive-in appears intact in a 1980 aerial, but was demolished by 1996.

The drive-in itself was located about ¼ mile west of the intersection of State HWY M & HWY 25. It was on the south side of HWY 25 and today you can barely see the outline and ramps.

Boxoffice, Feb. 26, 1955: “Malden, Mo. - The All-Star Drive-In, which was opened here February 13, has been under construction since last fall. One and a half miles from Holcomb on Highway 25, it is owned by Mr. and Mrs. Vergil Harris. Accommodations for 390 cars are provided on its parking ramps and it is equipped with wide screen and anamorphic lenses for the showing of CinemaScope pictures. A modern, attractive concession bar is part of its equipment and there is also an indoor auditorium, claiming to be the only open air movie in Missouri which has this. This seats 218 persons and the front of the room is entirely of glass. The room is heated in winter and air-conditioned in summer.”
