Located in the north Berlin district of Wedding, at the corner of Utrechter Strasse and Turiner Strasse. The Mercedes-Palast was opened in September 1926 with “Michel Strogoff”. It was designed by noted cinema architect Fritz Wilms. All seating was on a single level. The projection box was located mid-way along the auditorium ceiling.
From 1932 until 1943 it was re-named Ufa-Palast Utrechter Strasse. It then returned to the Mercedes-Palast name and closed in 1962 to be demolished.

The October 23, 1926, issue of The Universal Weekly said that Michel Strogoff had been the first movie shown at the Mercedes Palast when it opened in September.
