Located just outside the city centre on Caldewgate. The building was originally built as a chapel. In 1930 it was converted into the Regal Cinema. The proscenium was 21 feet wide and it was equipped with a Western Electric(WE) sound system.
The Regal Cinema was always a second-run cinema, and was closed in 1966. It was converted into a bingo club, which has since closed and in 2014 it is a bicycle shop.
