The Grand Theatre was open in 1926. It was renamed the New Theatre in 1932 and the Lyric Theatre in 1934. Unlike the larger Hipp Theatre down the block the Lyric Theatre was open year round. The Lyric Theatre seated 250 and was still operating in 1957.
