The Iris Theatre was opened in November 1916. It was remodeled and renamed the Dacotah Theatre in 1942. The Dacotah Theatre seated 334 and was open at least into the late-1950’s. The building now houses the Edgeley Library.

The “New Theaters and Changes in Dakota” column of the November 15, 1916, issue of The Moving Picture World said that the Iris Theatre had been opened at Edgeley, North Dakota.
