Previously operated by: Famous Players
Architects: J.W. Kirkland
Previous Names: Allen Theatre
Opened as the Allen Theatre July 14, 1917. Later renamed Capitol Theatre (not to be confused with the later Capitol Theatre, now the Landmark Brandon). Famous Players ran the 598-seat single-screen house.
Sometime after its closure in 1961, the Capitol Theatre building was demolished. The Town Centre, a mixed-use retail and office complex, currently stands on the site of the original Capitol Theatre.
