Woodward Park Drive-In

Following the closure of the Starlite Drive-In (it has its own page on Cinema Treasures). The Woodward Park Drive-In opened in 1978. It closed in 2002 and replaced by a Costco & Home Depot.

after all these years it appears part of the original fencing and the exit road still exist. the castle next to the drive-in was part of a family fun center that closed in 2016 and was demolished. now it’s easier to see the shape of the drive-in

All gone now, An Costco and Home Depot now stands on its site.

The final ad that I could find in the Fresno Bee for the Woodland Park was on Sept. 2, 2001. The final four double features were: “American Pie 2” + “Jurassic Park III” / “Rush Hour 2” + “Planet of the Apes” / “Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back” + “The Others” / “Summer Catch” + “American Outlaws”

The following summer, the drive-in was demolished. The final screen came down on July 29, 2002.
