Cinema Teatro Cantero

The Cinema Teatro Cantero is one of the most beautiful cinema sites in north-western Italy. The theatre is situated in the very lively sea-side city of Chiavari in the province of Genova. The theatre was opened in 1931 and is distinguised by a very attractive mixture of late-19th century architectural theatre features and their adaption to cinematographic needs.

The theatre is composed of stalls, a balcony and boxes, for the normal cinema business only the stalls seats are accessible. A wooden floor combined with very cosy plush seats convey a very elegant impression. On top of that, a huge crystal lamp provides a pleasant lighting from the ceiling. The theatre at times offers also theatrical performances but its main purpose remains cinematographic use.

The cinema boasts a very good level of conservation and is definitely worth a visit.
