The Plaza Theatre started as a single screen outbuilding at the Orange Plaza Mall, opening by December 1972. Sometime during the 1970’s is was renovated into a twin theatre. It was closed on September 11, 1983.
It was gutted and turned into a Service Merchandise retail store and was demolished in 2001. The front of the building remains in use as a KFC restaurant.

The concession building remains standing and converted to a KFC, the auditorium block was the part of the original building that was demolished in 2001.
