Located on the north side of Courthouse Square on the 100 block of W. Franklin Street. The Roxy Theatre was opened around 1940, and was operated by Alliance Theaters Corp., who were still the operators in 1954. It went over to screening films for mature audiences and had closed by 1970. It was taken over by two teenage brothers and operated for a while screening family movies. It has since been demolished and a 2-story office building has been built on the site.
