The Tai O Theatre was a neighbourhood cinema at Tai O on the western shore of the Lantau Island near the international airport of Hong Kong. Judging from a black and white photograph of the theatre printed on the Chinese language “Entertainment for the Chinese in Hong Kong over a century”, the theatre was probably an open-air theatre. Its exact location, seating capacity and closing date is pending further research.
