Alterations were carried out to the plans of architect James McKissack in 1921 and it re-opened as the Savoy Cinema on 28th March 1921, operated by Scottish Cinemas & Variety Theatres chain, part of the Associated British Cinemas(ABC) chain. ABC closed the Savoy Cinema on 16th July 1960.
