Majestic Picture House

It is well known that Fox and Rank had a falling out in 1954 over CinemaScope and that Fox set up its own “Fourth” circuit and between 1954 and 1958 when Fox and Rank buried the hatchet supposedly no Fox films played at Rank cinemas, and yet here we have a Rank cinema playing, as its last presentation, a Fox CinemaScope film! Not only that but the same week Rank’s Music Hall Cinema in Chester was showing another Fox CinemaScope film, The Tall Men. Very strange.
