Located in the K of C Building at the northweast of the square. The Capitol Theatre was opened on July 6, 1927 with Coleen Moore in “Naughty but Nice”. It was closed in 1929. It reopened on October 17, 1937, operated by Warner Bros. Circuit Management Corp. It was taken over by Chakeres Theaters Inc. on December 2, 1954 and was immediately closed and was converted into a business establishment. Chakeres had also purchased the Sidney Theatre from Warner Bros, which has its own page on Cinema Treasures.
The Capitol Theatre was demolished in the early-2010’s.

Needs to be marked as demolished. The building can be seen on the horribly blurry 2009 streetview, but this magnificent structure was gone by 2015. It was built sometime before 1887 as the Taylor Block, and was home to the masonic lodge on the third floor, above storefronts and offices.
As David pointed out a while ago, the film being shown in the photo is from 1927. The 1924 map shows the space as a store. Address should be on N Main, although it has mapped correctly.
This opened on July 6th, 1927 and closed in 1929 after the Ohio theatre opened. It reopened on October 17th, 1937. 1927 grand opening ad posted.
