Royal Theater

An early nickel movie theater, the Royal Theater opened without much fanfare on February 20, 1912 at the corner of Chenango Street and Lyon Street, just one block from where the Regus Theater would open three years later.

I was not able to find further mention of the Royal Theater (not to be confused with the Endicott Theater that opened at around the same time), but Bygone Binghamton claims there was also a theater called “Motion Picture World” at the same location. I have found no record of this either.
