an advertising postcard of May 19th (assume 1919) was for “the Mystery of the Double Cross” (NY 1917) for this cinema. Film presentation was on 3 days for the 5 hr 50min movie. It listed itself simply as “Empire, Stroud”. Card is in the possession of a local historian.
