The Cinema Splendid was opened in 1947. For many years now it has operated as an adult cinema. There is a small screen in the former balcony and a larger screen in the former orchestra. It was closed in the early-2020’s and was last used as an art gallery exhibition space for two weeks. The building still stands in 2024, vacant.
