Located in Chepstow, Gwent (formerly Monmouthshire) at the top end of Beaufort Square on Bank Street. It opened in 1911 as the Electric Picture Hall and was operated by John D. Jones & Co.
Around 1936 it was decided to build a new cinema in town and the site chosen was across Beaufort Square on the site of the Assemble Rooms, adjacent to the Beaufort Hotel. That scheme was taken over by Gaumont British Theatres in 1937, who built the Gaumont (later Regal Cinema).
