A 1959 aerial view shows the drive-in, but IT WAS SO DAMN SMALL! It was so small that I cannot tell the exact capacity at the time. It appears that its capacity expanded to a normal-sized drive-in during the 1960s, as well as an updated concession/projection building, and remained like that until its closure in September 1993.

A closer address (at least for Google) is 15329 Twp-36, Nelsonville, OH 45764. This marks what is now Dow’s Roller Arena. The drive-in sat just to the north with the white-roofed building next to the road being where the screen once stood.

Today, there is no evidence of the drive-in remaining. http://tinyurl.com/jbbubpc

I worked here in the mid 70’s as a projectionist while attending OU. Mostly ran shit kicker pictures(Moonshine County Express!!!!) but also some great double features like Taxi Drive & Shampoo. Had to take a ride with the owner one time to pick up fireworks for a display he was having one night.

I think this is it. It is on TWP 36 across from the cemetery. Looks like it was a pretty good size. 400 car maybe.
