A now wooded area was once a drive in theater, located on Highway 72, just east of Highway 101, the Southeast corner of that intersection. It appears to have been in business by around 1955, according to aerial photography, closing in 1971. One of the entrance trails is barely still visible at the edge of Highway 72. While this is usually referred to as Elgin (Crossroads), it appears to now be considered Rogersville city.

I have Wheeler Drive-In listed in 1965 located in Elgin, AL.

I believe it is the Wheeler Drive-In..
I found it listed on another theater site as Wheeler Drive-In. Wish I could change the name in the listing.
It was named The Wheeler Drive Inn Theatre owned by James Walton Robinson. Closed in 1971.Named after General Joe Wheeler who lived in the Tennessee Valley. He was a General during the Civil War.
A closer address (at least for Google) is 10724 U.S. 72, Rogersville, AL. This address is on the east side of what was the drive-in. This part of the drive-in is now private property.
Today, most of the property is overgrown with trees and there is no trace of the drive-in remaining.
