Act III Theatres opened the 2,000-seat Hilltop 9 Cinemas on October 9, 1996. Soderstrom Architects of Portland designed the cinema with auditorium size ranging from 150 to 496 seats.

The Portland Oregonian noted that it was Oregon City’s first walk-in theatre in 25 years and was built on the site of the old Oregon City Soccer Center.

The Hilltop 9 has been a Regal Cinema since 1998.

New seating capacities at this theater following the installation of Regal’s new “king-size” recliners (via Fandango’s reserved seating service):

  • Theaters 1 & 9 – 44 seats

  • Theaters 2 & 8 – 48 seats

  • Theaters 3 & 7 – 46 seats

  • Theater 4 – 90 seats

  • Theater 5 – 188 seats

  • Theater 6 – 86 seats
