Regal Arroyo Grande Stadium 10

The San Luis Obispo Tribune reported on October 7, 2004 that Regal Theatres had purchased Signature Theatres, which included the Arroyo Grande location.

The Festival Cinemas had opened June 1, 1984. Signature Theatres had originally bought the theater from Mann Theatres in April of 2000. Signature Theatres gave it a $2.5 million renovation, which added stadium seating and reduced the capacity from 2,900 to 1,900.

I drove by this theater last week – it’s still called the Festival Cinemas. No mention of Regal anywhere on the building. There’s definitely an ‘80s vibe to the place.

Drove by this theater again last week and snapped a couple of photos. I did notice Regal’s logo on the concrete trash can outside and on one of the floor mats inside.
