The Delta Drive-In opened on 1953 with Burt Lancaster in “Ten Tall Men” and the Walt Disney Real live Adventure “Beaver Valley”. It ran until 1980. Famous Players operated this drive-in for most of its existence. Despite being named the Delta Drive-In, it was actually located in nearby Richmond, on No. 5 Road north of Cambie Road. Since the drive-in’s closure, its site was redeveloped for residential use.
