Regal opened the Westgate Mall Cinema 8 on October 25, 1996. Initially this was a first run house but when Regal took over the Spartan Stadium 16 the Mall Cinema 8 was relagated to a sub-run house. It does feature digital projection and sound with online ticketing. By 2018 it was a crossover house playing both first run movies and second run movies. It was closed in October 2021.
