The Central City 10 was open in the late-1990’s. It was operated by Carmike Cinemas. Amenities include digital projection and sound, 3D capabilities, online ticketing, stadium seating and first run attractions. Later operated by AMC, it was closed on March 14, 2023.
It was reopened on May 26, 2023, owned and operated by Matt Smith’s Theater Group Arkansas, which also owns the Hot Springs 8 VIP Cinema.

This cinema does not have stadium seating. In fact, all 10 houses are the same size with about 75 seats on an almost level floor. Hot Springs is in dire need of a modern and up-to-date cinema.

I am sick and tired of POS AMC closing the Carmike locations they bought.
Wow, if a company makes a business decision to close an underperforming venue is your biggest concern, you must lead a charmed life.
m00se1111 It seems like AMC has closed the majority of the Carmike chain. Why did they buy them if they knew they were not good. I loved AMC when I lived in Florida but the location here sucks. I avoid it for years and now that new policy they have is crazy. The one here signed a 7.5 year lease when they took it over which would end sometime this year. They did add recliners a few years back so maybe this is a good location for them. I know there are not many theaters in the area where they are.
