Killeen Drive-In

The Killeen Drive-In opened in 1949. Car capacity was listed at 400. The drive-In was operated by Robb & Rowley-United Inc. followed by Rowley United Theatres by 1957. By 1966 it was part of the United Artists Theatres. The drive-in closed in 1985 and was destroyed by fire in 1997.

There is a sign on the property saying future home of the Simmonsville Missionary Baptist Church, but the sign has been there for a few years.

According to Google Street View, the sign has been there since at least May of 2008. They must really plan ahead.
