The Lumina Theatres at Southern Village opened it’s doors to the public as Chapel Hill’s Newest Modern Theatre on May 12, 2000 under Bill Peebles' company Ambassador Entertainment Corporation. The Lumina has the feel of the vintage decor cinema that has stadium seating in all auditoriums with state-of-the-art Dolby digital sound and projection. Located right off Highway 15-501 south towards Pittsboro at 620 Market Street in the Southern Village section of Chapel Hill.
