Located in Manhattan, 50 miles southwest of downtown Chicago. The Little Theatre opened in 1914, and was built by Eugene Hoerrmann. It presented amateur theatre productions and silent movies on weekends.
Eventually converting to sound films and renamed Manhattan Theatre, it was closed in 1940.
The building was taken over by the American Legion in 1949, and they remained in the building until 1981. The building in 2017 is in retail use as Country Flooring.

The building was used for many years under the American Legion as a place for wedding receptions and community events. Later it morphed over the years into a teenage dance club, used car business and an auction house.
