The Corona Daily Independent reported the opening of the Majestic Theater, managed by M.M. Hearn, on January 15, 1915. On April 20, 1917 it was reported that the brothers, J.V and A.M. Spaugh were taking control of the theater. J.V. was the operator of the California Theatre in Ontario.
The last operator was Foster Jackson, who had been operator since 1925. In June of 1928 it was reported that J.C. Penny was taking over the space formerly occupied by the Majestic Theater, which closed in May.
The theater was located a block east of the now historical Corona Theatre, which opened in 1929. The Film Daily Yearbook of 1927 listed the Majestic with 430 seats.
