The Edwards Festival 6 opened June 29, 1990 making it Edwards second cinema in Moreno Valley. In February of 1996 the Riverside Press-Enterprise reported that fights in the theater in January and February forced the theater to shut down temporarily. The theater had already gone discount because of the high vacancy rate at the shopping center.
In August of 2000, the Orange County Register noted that the Festival 6 had closed on April 27. In 2013 the theater was still closed but kept in good condition and for lease.
